The DJI Enterprise O4 Ground Station is a professional long-range communication station designed to extend drone signal coverage and improve transmission reliability for enterprise drone operations. Built for DJI Dock 3, DJI Matrice 400, and compatible DJI Matrice 4 Series aircraft, the O4 Ground Station helps enterprise teams maintain stronger connections across wide-area, obstructed, remote, or interference-heavy environments.
With a 12-antenna array, DJI O4 Enterprise Enhanced Video Transmission, Gateway Mode, and Relay Mode, the DJI O4 Ground Station is ideal for organizations that depend on reliable drone connectivity for inspection, public safety, security, emergency response, utilities, mining, construction, and autonomous dock-based operations.
Signal limitations can reduce the effectiveness of drone programs, especially when aircraft operate around buildings, trees, valleys, industrial sites, or long inspection corridors. The DJI O4 Ground Station is designed to overcome these communication barriers by acting as a high-performance transmission node between compatible DJI aircraft, DJI Dock 3, remote controllers, and DJI FlightHub 2.
When used with DJI Matrice 400, the system can support transmission distances of up to 40 km under IC conditions in unobstructed, interference-free environments. With other compatible aircraft, DJI lists up to 30 km under IC conditions. Actual range depends on aircraft, region, obstruction, interference, installation height, and local regulations.
In Gateway Mode, the DJI O4 Ground Station connects to DJI FlightHub 2 through Ethernet or the optional DJI Cellular Dongle 2. This makes it especially useful for DJI Dock 3 deployments where the dock needs extended communication coverage across a larger operation area.
Gateway Mode is ideal for fixed-location drone-in-a-box operations, remote facility monitoring, inspection corridors, emergency response coverage, and other autonomous missions managed through FlightHub 2.
In Relay Mode, the DJI O4 Ground Station can be positioned in an elevated, unobstructed location to serve as a communication relay. This mode does not require an internet connection and is useful when operating in valleys, obstructed terrain, remote sites, or areas with poor network availability.
Relay Mode supports compatible devices including DJI Dock 3, DJI Matrice 400, DJI Matrice 4E, DJI Matrice 4T, and DJI Matrice 4D / 4TD with DJI RC Plus 2 Enterprise, subject to local frequency regulations.
The DJI O4 Ground Station is built for field deployment with an IP67 protection rating, IK07 impact protection rating, compact 170×170×352 mm dimensions, and a weight of 2.68 kg. It supports PoE power input through WAN or LAN Ethernet ports and can operate from DJI Dock 3 PoE output or compatible third-party PoE power supplies.
Its built-in backup battery provides approximately 45 minutes of runtime in Gateway Mode and 30 minutes in Relay Mode during a sudden PoE power outage.
The DJI O4 Ground Station works with DJI FlightHub 2, FlightHub 2 On-Premises, FlightHub Sync, and DJI Cloud API. It also supports external IP cameras using ONVIF and GB/T 28181 protocols, with up to four simultaneous 1080p H.264 video streams. For custom enterprise workflows, it supports ESDK 2.0 integration.
